Low vision is partial vision caused by conditions of the eye which produce blurring, blind spots and/or light sensitivity and
which cannot be corrected by ordinary glasses, contact lenses, medication or surgery. People with low vision experience
difficulty with everyday activities such as reading the newspaper, writing checks, watching TV or recognizing faces. The leading causes of low vision are macular degeneration, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.
