From 69th Street Terminal

  1. Take Septa 109 Bus to Chester (Westbound)
  2. Disembark at 15th Street and Providence Avenue (approximately a 40 minute ride from terminal)
  3. From bus stop, walk 2 1/2 west along 15th Street, crossing Upland Street and Edgmont Avenue (traffic light).
  4. The Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is 1 block on RIGHT from Edgmont Avenue.

From Trenton

  1. Take the R7 train into Fernrock Station.
  2. Transfer to the high-speed subway station then at Market Street transfer over to the R2 at Suburban Station.
  3. Exit train at Chester (about the 11th stop on local runs).
  4. Take Septa 117/119 bus to Brookhaven (northbound).
  5. Bus will stop directly in front of The Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

From Media

  1. Take Septa 118 bus to Chester (southbound).
  2. Disembark at 15th Street and Edgmont Avenue.
  3. From bus stop, walk 2 1/2 west along 15th Street, crossing Upland Street and Edgmont Avenue (traffic light).
  4. The Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is 1 block on RIGHT from Edgmont Avenue.
  5. From Chester Transportation Center
  6. Take Septa 117/119 bus to Brookhaven (northbound).

From South Philadelphia

  1. Take Septa 37 bus to Chester (westbound). Make sure bus travels through to Chester.
  2. Exit bus at Chester Transportation Center.
  3. Take Septa 117/119 bus to Brookhaven (northbound).
  4. Bus will stop directly in front of The Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired.

From Center City Philadelphia

  1. Take westbound Market-Frankford EL "L" or westbound Septa 21(D) bus on Walnut Street to 69th Street Terminal.
  2. Take Septa 109 Bus to Chester (Westbound)
  3. Disembark at 15th Street and Providence Avenue (approximately a 40 minute ride from terminal)
  4. From bus stop, walk 2 1/2 west along 15th Street, crossing Upland Street and Edgmont Avenue (traffic light).
  5. The Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired is 1 block on RIGHT from Edgmont Avenue.

Admittance to our Agency

If this is a daytime visit, the entrance for the agency is just past the mailbox. Push the buzzer on the wall for admittance.

If you are arriving at night or the weekend, go to the small cyclone gate, ring the buzzer which is to the LEFT of the gate on the wall, and a staff member will admit you to the dormitory.
