Employment Services

CBVI is proud to provide job opportunities for individuals with blindness and visual impairment through its Employment Services program.

  • CBVI’s General Services Administration (GSA) work site is located in the Strawbridge Building in center city Philadelphia. GSA is a national customer service center for procuring and distributing supplies to the Federal Government. Using screen magnification systems and voice synthesized computer software designed for the blind and visually impaired, CBVI employees perform all necessary call-taker and customer service tasks.
  • In cooperation with Pennsylvania Industries for the Blind and Handicapped (PIBH), CBVI also supervises two drivers’ license photo ID centers in Fairless Hill, PA and Bensalem, PA.
  • CBVI is a member of National Industries for the Blind, the Pennsylvania Association for the Blind, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce, and the Better Business Bureau of Eastern Pennsylvania. Programs and services conducted by CBVI are available to all eligible individuals without regard to race, color, religious creed, ancestry, national origin, age, sex, or handicap. CBVI is an equal opportunity-affirmative action employer.
